my story
From a very young age, I struggled with health issues such as chronic migraines and IBS. As I approached my 30's, symptoms arose that no doctor could explain. LIttle did I know, it was the beginning of an autoimmune disorder that would take the next 15 years (and countless doctors) to diagnose. I encountered a lot of "head scratching" from my medical team, which left me feeling helpless and frustrated. Left to my own resources, I began my journey into alternative healthcare and holistic measures to manage my own care.
Seeking further answers to my complex medical condition, I obtained my Bachelor of Science in Natural Health in 1999. I immersed myself in Eastern theory and practices such as meditation, massage, reflexology, Reiki, EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques) "Tapping", and acupressure to manage my stress/pain and balance my body's energetic systyem.
I graduated Salutatorian from the Louisville School of Massage in 2008 and worked as a Massage Therapist at the Brown Cancer Resource Center providing care to patients and caregivers.
My story doesn't end here. Quite the contrary. I am in a continual state of allowing and transformation. I no longer feel helpless! I am empowered because I was led to the tools that help me manage my symptoms. This is what I can offer you. My experience and a sense of empowerment!

I am currently a Meditation Instructor for Norton Healthcare where I offer virtual and in-person classes to patients and caregivers. I have also taught classes privately and in association with Gilda's Club of Louisville.

lymphatic drainage
In 2009, I successfully completed 135-hour intensive training to become a Certified Lymphatic Therapist through ACOLS (Academy of Lymphatic Studies). Lymphatic drainage is a gentle form of massage used to relieve painful swelling in your trunk and extremities. Benefits are many, including relief from swelling, detoxification, improved blood flow, boosting the immune system, sinus drainage, and stress relief.

BUSINESS COACHING
I have been blessed to have owned 2 successful businesses in the past 30 years. My first business was a catering/wedding cake bakery based out of my home. I had a health department approved kitchen in my home that gave me the freedom to be home with my daughter from kindergarten through her college years.
I then opened my massage private practice in 2008. Having been responsible for all aspects of this business - from initial business set up to marketing, website design, tax preparation, and fulfillment, I quickly learned how to be an effective and prosperous entrepeneur.
CAREER COACHING
In 2010, the company my husband worked for went out of business. As a result of him unexpectedly losing his job, we were faced with having to enter the job market after being at this company most of his adult life. It was exhausting for us both - mentally, emotionally, and physically.
We quickly realized that having an outstanding resume, cover letter, and interview skills made all the difference between him getting hired for "any job" vs a "great job" where he is actually paid what he is worth! Becoming comfortable with the interview process is a smart way to showcase your skillset under pressure.
RESUME SERVICES
What does it take to land that perfect job? First, you have to pass the 6-second test! Recruiters typically spend six to seven seconds reviewing a resume before deciding if an applicant is a good fit for a role. And even if you happen to land an interview, you have to be prepared for all the challenges that this brings!
