my story

Life can be hard. Well, (let's be honest) sometimes it can be downright brutal! As a young adult, I found myself seeking answers within my faith as it related to a very unhappy marriage.

Up to this point, I had spent my life in Christian spheres, influences, and spaces. These experiences were largely positive, but sadly I never found the support and guidance that I deeply needed to navigate this difficult time in my life. I think it's amazing for those who truly identify with their chosen faith, (but for me) it did not nurture my soul nor offer the loving guidance that I needed.

We all have to honor our own truth, and mine eventually led me to a path of "spirituality". Everyone has a right to connect to the Sacred/God/Universe in whatever way feels best to them. I truly believe that as long as the path strives for unity, peace, and love, your path is valid and beautiful!

how i started reading cards

A friend asked me to go to a local card reader one day just for fun. Little did I know, this would be a life-changing experience for me. I felt both "seen" and "heard", and his loving guidance became an inspiration for me to see my challenges and obstacles as opportunities for growth. This amazing human made such an impression on me. I have now been reading cards for myself for the past 25 years and for others since 2010. I meet each and every person that aligns with my path with deep respect and love and light in my heart.

what tarot "is not"

Tarot is not for telling the future or your “fortune". It’s a tool for self-awareness and deeper understanding of the situation at hand. People ask me if something will happen. My answer is always the same. “I can’t predict the future. That’s not what tarot is for." what is the cost of a reading?

Sessions are $60 for 1 hour. For virtual readings, I will send an invoice for you to remit payment or you can pay via paypal. If your reading is in person, you are welcome to bring cash or use debit/credit.

when should i get a reading?

When you are starting a new phase in your life - some people like to have a tarot reading close to their birthday or other significant event, as they feel it is a time when they are moving on to a new stage of their life.
When considering a major decision - you should not expect a card reading to make a decision for you. However, a reading can highlight the most important issues to consider, suggest possible consequences of particular directions, and even suggest factors that haven't been considered properly.
When you feel stuck in a rut or directionless - a reading can be very effective at suggesting new directions you could be exploring or what unfinished business you have that is holding you in your current position.

is tarot like fortune telling?

No! Tarot cards tap into the energy in the present moment and help you see the trajectory of your current focus and energy pattern. But a shift in your energy can change the outcome that tarot predicted. You are never stuck with what tarot predicts! You have free will and choice and can change your circumstances by changing your energy.

Here's an example. Susie has a reading and is told the energy around her place of work looks very promising, which suggests recognition and a possible promotion. Susie is elated at this news!

Scenario #1: Susie is so grateful, she continues to work hard to make sure she continues to be noticed for all her hard work and tenacity. She soon is recognized for her contributions in the workplace and is offered a promotion along with a nice salary increase.

Scenario #2: Susie leaves the reading feeling as if she has got this promotion in the bag! She now feels that she doesn't have to continue working hard at work because the reader saw great things in her future at the company. So why keep working so hard? Susie starts showing up late, taking long lunches, and calling in sick. Susie is upset she was not offered this amazing opportunity for advancement.

Do you see in scenario #1 that Susie continues the same effort and momentum that the reader saw when they met? The energy did not change, and she received her recognition and increase in salary. In scenario #2, Susie's energy changed for the worse and changed the trajectory of her future.

We all have free will/choice and the ability to shape our futures. I think a lot of people are attracted to fortune telling because they wish for reassurance that comes from being told that things are basically going to work out okay. But being told what is going to happen must surely reduce one's sense of control over their own life and may encourage them to abdicate responsibility for what happens to them.

How This Works:

Confidential: These sessions are sacred, confidential, and private. I hold space for your healing and transformation within the framework of this 60 minutes. Life is hard, and we are all here to help each other along this difficult path. I meet you with enthusiasm and love in my heart for your desire to embrace healing in your life - however this may look for you.
Meditation: When you make an appointment for a reading, you are giving me consent to tap into your energy. What do you mean "tap" into my energy? I meditate prior to your card reading because it helps me to see if any fears or habits are affecting you or where your strengths lie with things that you are accomplishing well. I honor this process and therefore begin each meditation with heartfelt intention and prayer.
Reading: These sessions offer soul-centered guidance through intuitively channeled information coupled with the wisdom drawn from the cards. I gently and compassionately support you as I interpret messages of opportunity, peace, love, challenges or obstacles. At the beginning of your session, I will go over your meditation notes. Whether your session is in-person or virtual, I invite you to tape it so you can listen to it later. For the reading, I will place cards in a particular pattern on the table where each placement relates to an area of your life. Tuning into your energy as well as the divine guidance from the cards offers a very rich and comprehensive guide for life decisions you are facing.
Questions: I encourage you to bring with you a written list of questions you would like insight about. At the end of the session, I will ask you if I addressed all of your questions. If not, this is your opportunity to do so.
Follow up: Within 24 hours, you will receive an email that highlights your notes from both the meditation and the reading. In addition to this, I will also attach any information that I feel would be helpful to you as it pertains to your reading. This session is more than just divination; it's an opportunity for self-discovery and empowerment. It's a transformative experience that resonates long after the last card has been turned.

If your reading is virtual, payment is required to schedule an appointment. Confirmation will be sent to you once payment for session is received. If your session is in person, you may remit payment at that time.
